This Refund Policy explains when and how Really Big Calendar (the "Service") issues refunds. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions. By purchasing or using a paid feature of the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Free use of the Service
The core features of Really Big Calendar are offered free of charge. If you have not paid us anything, there is nothing to refund. Deleting your account at any time stops any future use of the Service.
2. Paid features
Where a feature requires payment, the price, billing frequency, and any free trial will be presented to you at the point of purchase before you are charged. This Refund Policy applies to any one-time purchase or recurring subscription you buy directly from us through the Service.
3. 14-day refund window
If you purchase a paid feature directly from us and you are not satisfied, you may request a refund within 14 days of the original charge. To be eligible:
- The request must be made within 14 days of the charge being placed
- The request must come from the account that made the purchase
- The account must not have been suspended or terminated for breach of the Terms and Conditions
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it can take up to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
4. Recurring subscriptions
You can cancel a subscription at any time from inside the app or by using the in-app contact form. When you cancel:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
- You will not be charged again for the next period
- Renewal charges (charges after the first one) are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or where Section 3 applies to a renewal you did not intend
If you were charged for a renewal you did not intend and you contact us promptly (within 14 days of that charge), we will normally process a refund.
5. What is not refundable
The following are not eligible for a refund:
- Charges older than 14 days, except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise
- Per-use credits or generations that have already been consumed (for example, sticker generations that have already produced an image)
- Purchases made through a third-party platform or app store — those refunds are governed by that platform's policies and must be requested from them directly
- Accounts terminated for breach of the Terms and Conditions or for abuse of the Service
6. Statutory rights (UK and EU consumers)
If you are a consumer based in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you generally have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract for digital services within 14 days of entering into it, without giving a reason. By starting to use a paid digital feature during that period, you may be asked to acknowledge that this withdrawal right ends once the service has been fully performed. Nothing in this policy affects your non-waivable statutory consumer rights.
7. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first through the in-app contact form so we can resolve it directly. Initiating a chargeback through your bank or card issuer without first contacting us may result in your account being suspended while the dispute is investigated.
8. How to request a refund
To request a refund, sign in to your account and use the in-app contact form. Please include:
- The email address on your account
- The approximate date and amount of the charge
- A short description of why you are requesting a refund
We aim to respond to refund requests within 5 business days.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Changes do not apply retroactively to purchases made before the change took effect.
